WanDilson > Back to Washington for the fourth time. But of course, nothing can ever go exactly as planned. The night before I arrived in Seattle, Nate's car got broken into. They messed up the driver side lock and broke one of the back windows, then stole the stereo. Since we were leaving on a Sunday, we couldn't get any of it fixed, and since we had many hours of driving ahead of us, we decided we didn't want to do it all in silence. Luckily Nate had this awesome boombox lying around, so we stocked up on batteries and tape (the lid to the cd player wouldn't stay closed by itself) and were on our way. The sound quality was fantastic. Especially with the Dynamic Bass Boost on. The Nuge has never sounded better.
WanDilson > Since I've spent over a month total in the state of Washington and it's only rained on me twice, I told Nate I expected to encounter some inclimate weather on this trip. The first day it sprinkled a little, but it wasn't too bad.
WanDilson > Bring on the sunshine.
WanDilson > There was a forest fire in this area many years ago.
WanDilson > Once again, it's always nice to have a fire. Mmmmmmm, cheddar brats...
WanDilson > Without the fire, we'd already be in our sleeping bags.
WanDilson > Nate developed knee problems after he ran a marathon, so he has to do stretches at night. Lesson learned. Don't run marathons.
WanDilson > The captions pretty much cover it. Even with a compass, topo map, and GPS system, we somehow managed to climb the wrong mountain.
